Haven't forgotten...

You've heard the term..." if you don't use it, you lose it".

As you know, (if you've read any of my previous post) I love to sew and especially enjoy making bags of various styles and sizes.  What you don't know is that years ago I made almost every dress and/or outfit my daughter,Hannah, wore. (daughter had her 28th birthday this past week.)  A dear friend got me started on smocking and french hand sewing by machine!  I don't even know how many dresses, bubbles, etc I've made. What I do know is it was fun.  Jill and I used to start dresses for our girls on Saturday night and they would wear them to bible class and church the next morning.  I also sewed for my niece that's two years older than Hannah.  On a number of occasions I would call my sister and tell her to bring Holly and meet me in the church parking lot and slip a new dress on her before going inside the building!

I haven't done that kind of sewing in a long time.  But I learned recently that it's like riding a bike. You might stumble a bit, but you'll get the hang of it again pretty quick!

This little round yoke dress was made for a beautiful, big blue eyed, curly haired little girl with the name Katherine.  I enjoyed making it and it brought back so many memories.

I haven't been on a bike in a while....
I wonder????
